Walking Trees
The walking tree 🌲
These trees you are looking at actually walked to where they are, and will still walk to somewhere else. They walk up to 65 feet each year to find the best habitat to live in.
The tree is called Socratea exorrhiza. Found in South America.
The tree walks from shade to sunlight by growing roots in the direction it wants to travel, and then allowing the old roots to lift into the air and die.
